QUAERO CAPITAL builds its ESG expertise with analyst hire

QUAERO CAPITAL is building on its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) capabilities with the hire of specialist ESG analyst Georgina Parker.

Georgina joins from the Swiss sustainable finance consulting firm Conser Invest. She will work with funds across the QUAERO CAPITAL investment department, identifying opportunities to expand and enhance their approaches to responsible investment. She began her career in 2007 as an equity analyst with Bessemer Trust, working in both London and New York.

In 2014 she co-founded BroadMinded, a London-based network supporting gender equality for ambitious women, and in 2015 she worked as Head of Sales for Virgin Pure, a Richard Branson-backed start-up focused on reducing plastic waste. She has a degree in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and is a CFA charter holder.

Thierry Callault, Partner at QUAERO CAPITAL, said: “We want to make a strong commitment to Responsible Investment as we recognize its importance in the investment success of our clients and hence of our firm. We welcome Georgina and look forward to seeing how she will build more value into our investment processes, to the benefit of not just our investors but the environment and society at large.”

In 2017, QUAERO CAPITAL onboarded an Accessible Clean Energy strategy, conceived in 2014 and managed by Martina Turner. The firm also manages European small cap funds, as well as listed and unlisted infrastructure equity strategies which have been integrating ESG criteria into their investment processes for many years.

QUAERO CAPITAL has been a signatory to the UN PRI (United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment) since 2015, and has more recently become a member of the IIGCC, the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, a network of some 150 members managing more than €120 trillion in assets under management.
