Francesco Samson

Group Chief Operating Officer

Francesco Samson joined Quaero Capital SA on April 1st, 2017, as Group COO.

Francesco Samson started his career in 1990 with DuPont de Nemours in Geneva where he became head of sales of three products in Europe. He subsequently joined McKinsey in Geneva in 1996 where he focused on business development and restructuring related projects. From 1998 to 2004 he led the strategy for the EMEA region, building and leading two front office teams for the Citigroup Private Bank in Geneva. Francesco Samson then spent 10 years at EIM in Nyon, where he was Partner, Group COO and member of the Executive Committee, also overseeing business development and investment services. He joined Brevan Howard in 2014 as Head and COO of the Geneva office and a member of the Executive Committee of Brevan Howard Investment Products Limited in Jersey.

Fluent in French, Italian, English and German, Francesco Samson has an MSc from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (“EPFL”) in Lausanne, Switzerland, and an MBA from INSEAD in Paris with a major in Finance.


Aymeric Plassard

Chief Operating Officer Quaero Capital France

Aymeric Plassard joined QUAERO CAPITAL in 2018.

Aymeric started his career in 1999 in an audit and accountancy firm. In 2001 he joined CPS (former branch of PriceWaterhouseCoopers for a long-term mission) and was interim CFO of Sonauto (Porsche & Mitsubishi for France) for a year.

In 2002 he joined PAI Partners as financial officer in charge of two LBO funds (PAI LBO Fund (€653 million) and PAI Europe III (€1,8 billion)). He was involved in many of the fund’s flagship deals during this period.

In 2009 he joined Serge Weinberg’s team (Weinberg Capital Partners) as Chief Operating Officer for 7 years. In this role he was one of the leading players in the growth and diversification of the company which is active today in multiple private equity sectors.

Aymeric obtained the DECF diploma, the ICS Bégué exam and is a holder of the RCCI card delivered by the French authority AMF.



Marcus Tang

Head of Operations

Marcus Tang joined Quaero Capital SA in 2013.

Marcus started his career in 2000 at Citco Fund Services in the Netherlands as a Fund Accountant, and later as Senior Account Manager. He was responsible for the administration of the largest fund of funds group from the Amsterdam office, as well the administration of various other investment strategies.

In 2007 Marcus joined 3A (Alternative Asset Advisors), the alternative investment division of banking group SYZ. At 3A he was responsible for the middle-office and liaison with the legal department, including setting-up of accounts and fund, NAV control and validation. After the conversion from 3A into SYZ Asset Management, Marcus became the Head of Operations and part of the Management Committee.

Christina Rancic

Head of HR, General Administration

Christina Rancic joined QUAERO CAPITAL SA in 2005 as Head of HR, General Administration.

Christina has been with QUAERO CAPITAL SA since its inception and is responsible for HR, general administration, compliance and deals with bookkeeping and financial accounting on a part time basis.

Previous to this, Christina worked for 20 years with H&M Hennes & Mauritz in their head office in Geneva, where she held various positions including: Head of Personnel, Head of Accounting Department and Deputy General Manager. She had additional responsibility for external relations, e.g. professional organisations, government, unions and insurance firms. She contributed to the implementation of an IT system for the Accounting Department and was responsible for the monthly and annual closing of accounts.

Today, Christina is also President of COPRE, a Swiss Pension Fund based in Geneva with CHF 1 billion of assets, and has been a member of the board since 2003.

Christina has a degree in Industrial and Commercial Studies specializing in finance from the University of Geneva. (1982).

Carole Guillon

Client services & Operations

Carole Guillon joined Quaero Capital SA in August 2010 as a member of Client services and Operations team.

From 2002 to 2009 she worked for Lombard Odier in various departments.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Haute Ecole de Gestion de Genève (HEG).

Christine Didier


Christine Didier joined QUAERO CAPITAL SA in 2004  with responsibility for Financial Accounting and bookkeeping.

From 1994 to 2004, Christine was involved in a variety of bookkeeping and administrative roles at the Private Bank Gadd & Cie.

Christine holds a Maturité Commerciale awarded in Geneva.

Nick Stanfield

Financial Analyst

Nick Stanfield joined Quaero Capital SA in 2017 as financial analyst.

Nick started his career at Hazlewoods LLP in the Cotswolds in England before moving to France and joining Brevan Howard as financial controller for the newly set up Geneva branch run out of Jersey.  In 2013 Nick moved to Clarksons Platou shipbrokers as financial accountant before then moving to Hinduja Bank in 2015 as MIS officer to analyse the various revenues by client and relationship manager.

Nick qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) in England in 2010.

Kombe Kandula

Client services, Operations & Marketing

Kombe Kandula joined QUAERO CAPITAL SA in 2014 as a member of the Client Services and Operations team.

Previously, from 2012 to 2014, she worked for Ernst & Young Company in their Human Capital department.

She holds a Swiss Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) in Administration and a Public Relations Certificate from the School of Communication in Lausanne (SPRI).

Nathalie Glauser

Client services & Operations

Nathalie joined Quaero Capital SA in September 2015 as a member of the Client Services and Operations team.

Nathalie started her career in the bank industry, working in securities’ back-office and as an asset management assistant in different banks and financial institutions, both in Zurich and Geneva.

She holds a Swiss Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) in banking from UBS Geneva.

Mariana Zeghida

Client services

Mariana joined Quaero Capital SA in September 2017.

Mariana was with Four Seasons for 10 years, moving from Lisbon to Geneva in 2005. She was part of the Four Seasons Geneva hotel pre-opening team. There she made a career as Front Office Manager.

From 2012, and for 5 years, Mariana was with Brevan Howard as Administrative Assistance. Mariana would give direct assistance to the senior management, as well as to the CEO.

Fluent in Portuguese, English and French, Mariana holds a BBA and a Master’s degree, in Hospitality Business Management, from Universidade Internacional (Lisbon).
